A note from the sellers
About us, Lisa and I are both Nurses in our 30's who bought the Vessel in Spring of 2021 as our first boat. I grew up on Lake Sailing in Northern New Hampshire and Cruised the Bahamas with my parents on their 36 foot live aboard which they lived aboard for almost 20 years. We purchased this Vessel as Lisa was naive to sailing and we wanted the safest most capable vessel of this size and the PSC 37 has proven to be exactly what we needed. We cruised her around the SF bay for 1.5 years and enjoyed a 4 month sail down the coast of California to Ensenada in the Fall of 2022. It's what I used to hook Lisa on sailing and it proved to be the easiest to sail blue water cruiser that she needed to fall in love with the lifestyle/sport. Our plan is to look for a PSC 44, as we wanna stay with this design of boat but require more space for dogs, family and so on.In my opinion the Vessel is in great shape and I have continually done the required maintenance and upgraded as we went the last few years as well as $15k in maintenance and upgrades conducted professionally at KKMI in Richmond CA. There are also significant professional maintenance receipts for the life of the vessel on the boat. Maintenance and upgrades below on top of numerous small things I’m sure I've forgotten.
Prior owner (extensive maintenance records on vessel) but these are the big ones
-2015 new chain plates and standing rigging
-$15k full engine rebuild
2021 KKMI Richmond CA
-Bottom Paint
-New Cutlass Bearing
-Rudder Dropped inspected, New packing box, steering gear inspected, new steering cable
-New Max Prop Installed
2021
-New Macerator
-New Water Pump
-Installed composting head (Which we love, we did recognize we were going to sell the boat and kept the through hulls and the black water tank so a new owner could simply install a traditional head if they wanted. We will 100% install a composting head on our new vessel it has been nothing short of amazing and the boat has no smell)
-New genoa and Main halyards
-installed screens
-Installed magma grill
-New strataglass in dodger
-New Nillson windlass
2022

-New mattress in foreword birth
-Victron solar controller installed (Bluetooth)
2023
-All bright work sanded and 2 coats of varnish reapplied
-Heat exchanger pulled cleaned and new o rings installed
-New engine belt
The sails are in great shape and I would rate the main at 8/10 and the genoa 7/10. It is a full complement of Pineapple sales (Staysail (Like new), Mainsail, genoa, storm Trysail (Like new) and symmetrical spinnaker with pole on Port side deck.
We visit Ensenada every few months as we like the area and knock out a few projects on every visit. So in full disclosure, the inverter does not work at this time and failed a few months ago, it does still charge. I have a xantrex 2500 inverter under the Port Settee but have yet to have time to install it.
Accommodations
The forward cabin has an offset double to starboard, a comfortable chair to port, 3 drawer storage beneath the berth. There are two cedar lined hanging lockers forward and opposite the head which has a Composting Airhead toilet foot pump and pressurized water (new water pump), shower with macerator, sink and good storage.
The salon has a straight settee to port and a convertible double to starboard. Deep shelves and bookcases are to be found behind the settees. All upholstery is new, Sunbrella material.
The chart table is to port, the quarter berth behind, a great sea berth! Galley is to starboard and will be a safe work area under way.
Light and ventilation in the main cabin are excellent, ten opening port lights, plus a large Bomar deck hatch. A second pair of Dorade boxes over the main cabin to improve heavy weather ventilation.
