49' Custom Center Cockpit

“Seayanika”, appropriately named. Katriana and her husband left their daughter, “Nika” at the docks as they set off on their world cruise. Hence the name: See Ya Nika. I have met Nika, she was and is not scarred by the fact that her parents left her (Abandoned?) as they set sail for the South Pacific.
Stolen from their ships log: “If I plotted our hourly course on a chart it would probably look more like a ping pong ball’s track than an orderly progression towards our goal. As for our crew, Paul always seems to be in a good mood, plays a mean classical guitar and
pulls his weight on shifts. He also nearly eats his weight daily and I’m afraid
my six month’s supply of food will be gone by the time we get to the Marquesas.”
This overly well built custom 49 footer is a blue water crusing sailboat, built to sail the oceans all and although she has not as yet been to all the seas she is ready to. Built with input from Bill Lapworth (of Cal Yachts and Jensen Marine fame) “Seayanika” is capable and has many +200 days behind her.
I have sailed her in San Diego and she sails without effort. Comfortable in the pilothouse, out of the weather (not that San Diego is renown for bad weather) we had a great afternoon in and out of the bay. If you are in the market for a blue water cruising sailboat, one with a history of enjoying the South Pacific she is for sale!
Since Seayanika’s designer/builder was constructing her as his own personal cruising yacht, no expense was spared in building and equipping her with only the safest, best and long-lasting materials and equipment. And then he added luxury items only found in the very highest priced and cruise equipped yachts; bow thruster, pilot house, water maker, washer/dryer, powerful generator, icemaker, trash compactor, wind generator, solar panels, and more storage than any other boat it’s size. (Per Douglas Emley, Marine Surveyor, San Diego…..”The vessel has been constructed to ABYC, MFPA and CFR standards with quality, marine-grade materials. She is exceptionally well-equipped for a vessel of her size and type.”)
Just peruse the long list of equipment and amenities, then search the Internet for any world cruising boat on the market. You will find that S/V Seayanika is the best equipped, best constructed, most well thought out and least expensive 49′ Pilothouse Cruising Sailboat available.
