Overview
40' Hunter Legend
Let's start with the inside. This boat has an aft cockpit and an aft cabin with a PEDESTAL QUEEN BED!!! Hunter's clever design allows for a large aft stateroom with it's own full bath including a hot shower and sit down tub, making life on the water very comfortable.
Additional berthing includes a LARGE V-Berth, large enough for two to sleep comfortably. Plenty of storage space and a separate head. The dining settee also converts to a double bed in case you bring the kids or extra friends along to Catalina. The salon is spacious with a long couch and comfy dinette. The galley is terrific with a huge refrigeration hold, a three burner stove/oven, a large double sink with hot and cold running water, built in microwave and coffee maker leaves ample counter space to prepare meals for family and friends. If you want a sailboat and need the interior room of a powerboat, this Legend is the one for you!
Outside, up on deck, Hunter once again outdid themselves. The cockpit is big, can seat eight comfortably. This deck stepped Hunter Legend can be easily single handed. Additionally, she has had her bottom renewed. 2015: Participating in the Port of San Diego Hull Paint Conversion Project for Shelter Island Yacht Basin. Entire bottom has been soda blasted to remove all anitfouling paint; gelcoat was repaired/faired; two epoxy barrier coats were applied; and non-biocide, navy blue colored, Ceram-Kote paint applied *(this is a tough, ceramic coating used in the offshore oil and gas industry, being applied to the underwater portions of the oil rigs. It is very tough paint!!
